Oleksandra Vasylchyshyn, a professor at the Department of Security and Law Enforcement of WUNU, took part in a study visit to Warsaw, organised as part of the Ukraine Programme for Learning Integrity in Financial Training (UPLIFT). The programme brought together participants from various fields with an interest in financial security and combating financial crime. The study visit was organised by the Centre for Financial Integrity (CFI) in collaboration with the UK’s Centre for Finance and Security (CFS) at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI).

WUNU representatives joined the international environmental project ‘Water for Life’ in Sweden
As part of efforts to expand international cooperation and implement innovative strategies for sustainable development, staff from the International Centre for Culture and Development, along with students Khrystyna Kazmirchuk, Viktoriia Mazurenko and Viktor Slabodukh from the B11 ‘Philology’ programme at West Ukrainian National University, took part in a working visit to the city of Ronneby (Sweden). The trip, which took place from 20 to 22 April 2026, was part of the ‘Water for Life’ project, funded by the Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD).

The Student Eco-Fair: a step towards a sustainable future
A student eco-fair entitled ‘The Earth – Our Shared Project’ was recently held to mark Earth Day. The event was organised by students from the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of B. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations, who are enrolled in the International Relations programme. The event took place as part of the activities of the ‘International Studio for Sustainable Development’ teaching laboratory (coordinator – Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, Nataliia Karpyshyn).
Results of the competition for semester-long study programmes at the University of Osnabrück and the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Germany)
Congratulations to students Zoriana Ivashkiv (group PR-21) and Viktoriia Dushchak (group PR-34), who have been selected to study for a semester at the University of Osnabrück, and to Vitalii Levus (group KNSHI-41), who has been selected for a semester of study at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts under the Erasmus+ programme in the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.
