The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences implements international cooperation with foreign partners: Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (Georgia), Catholic University in Ruzomberok (Slovakia), University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Poland), Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities (Poland), General Tadeusz Kościuszko Military University of Land Forces (Poland), Kujawy and Pomorze University in Bydgoszcz (Poland), Pontifical Gregorian University (Italy), Higher School of Management (Republic of Poland), Baltic International Academy (Latvia), Matej Bel University (Slovakia), Alcide De Gasperi University of Euroregional Economy in Jozefow.

The faculty has created favorable conditions for students to study foreign languages, in particular, the annual project «International School of World Educational Practices «New Way».

Professors of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Studies actively conduct scientific activity. Scientific research is carried out at the request of state institutions, private enterprises and local self-government bodies at the Departments of the Faculty. Students of the faculty are also involved in scientific research, and many of them continue their studies in postgraduate and doctoral programs at West Ukrainian National University. Theoretical and methodological scientific journal "Psychology and Society" has been published for 18 years and is ranked 19th among 503 such publications according to the rating of periodicals of Ukraine with bibliometric profiles.

In September 2020, the student newspaper "Artes Liberales" was founded at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. "AKME" School of Professional Development is an additional opportunity for interactive practical training and student networking at the faculty.

The student body organizes thematic meetings, such as casual Saturdays "Without Ties". The faculty cooperates with "Nasnaha" - Ternopil student leadership movement and jointly conducts interesting activities. "PROsvitoria" is a youth portal aimed at developing social skills in students of FHSS and high school students of Ternopil schools.
