Department of Architecture and Design

 The staff of the Department of Architecture and Design trains specialists at the bachelor's degree level in the specialties 191 “Architecture and Urban Planning” and 022 “Design”, B2 "Design" in the following educational programs:

- “Architecture and Urban Planning”,

- “Graphic Design”.

During their studies, in addition to general disciplines, students study the following professional disciplines:

Cultural Heritage Conservation, Fundamentals and Methods of Architectural Design, Architectural Graphics and 3D Composition, Visual Arts: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture; History of Architecture and Urban Planning, Typology of Buildings and Structures, Architectural Design, Architectural and Construction Materials Science, Computer Technology in Architectural Design, Typology of Buildings and Structures, Building Structures, Fundamentals of Structural Theory, Engineering Equipment of Buildings and Structures, Urban Planning; Reconstruction, Restoration and Rehabilitation of Architectural Objects; Fundamentals of Spatial Planning, Fundamentals of Design, Engineering Landscaping; Fundamentals of Construction Technology, Management and Organization; Fundamentals of Architectural and Construction Economics, Landscape Architecture; Plastic Anatomy, Fonts; Composition and Color Science; Art History, Design History and Theory; Computer Graphics and Animation; Design; Descriptive Geometry; Illustration; Ornamentation and Ethnodesign; Materials Science; Prototyping; Printing Technologies, etc.

Upon completion of the Architecture and Urban Planning study program, graduates can hold the following positions: architect in design organizations, in national and local government departments, in cultural heritage protection institutions, in public utilities, in construction organizations.

After completing their studies in Graphic Design, graduates can work as graphic design specialists, graphic designers, graphic designers, organizers in the field of culture and art (curators of art projects).

The department actively cooperates with the following institutions and organizations: Department of Culture of the Ternopil Regional State Administration, Department of Architecture, Urban Development, Housing and Communal Services and Energy Saving of the Ternopil Regional State Administration; Center for Protection and Research of Cultural Heritage Monuments, National Reserve “Castles of Ternopil”, Kremenets-Pochayiv State Historical and Architectural Reserve, State Historical and Architectural Reserve in Berezhany, Union of Designers of Ukraine, National Union of Architects of Ukraine. Berezhany, the Union of Designers of Ukraine; the National Union of Architects of Ukraine; the Ternopil Regional Library for Youth; design and design organizations of the region, where students can gain practical experience during their internships.
