Successful performance by a WUNU student at an international meet
An international junior athletics meet was recently held in Racibórz (Poland), with national teams from Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine, Slovakia, Croatia and Slovenia taking part.
At the end of the competition, the Ukrainian team finished fourth in the team standings.
Maksym Lavryk, a student at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of West Ukrainian National University, made a significant contribution to the national team’s performance, achieving an impressive result in the 6 kg shot put with a throw of 18 metres and 97 centimetres. This result enabled Maksym to claim the top spot on the podium.
There is a lot of hard work ahead, as well as participation in and preparation for future competitions.
We would like to thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for enabling Ukrainian students to develop their potential and proudly represent their university.
