WEST UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

 As part of the collaboration between TWest Ukrainian National University and the Ukrainian Association of Fintech and Innovative Companies (UAFIC), academics took part in events of the Ukraine Fintech Week 2026 – an annual large-scale initiative aimed at developing Ukraine's financial technology market, creating a robust fintech ecosystem and enhancing financial inclusion in Ukraine.

 On 19 January 2026, West Ukrainian National University hosted the 19th International Scientific and Practical Conference for Young Researchers and Students, entitled ‘Innovative Processes in Economic and Socio-Cultural Development: Ukrainian and Foreign Experience’ The event was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of WUNU's founding and the 100th anniversary of the birth of the eminent Ukrainian economist and public figure Bohdan Hawrylyshyn.

 In the Global Money Week 2026 challenge, the colour blue has become a symbol of true prudence and unwavering trust, which lie at the heart of any financial success. Today, the walls of our university have been painted in shades of confidence, for we are having those very ‘honest conversations about money’, where there is no room for illusions, but only strategy, intellect and reliability.

 The second day of Global Money Week at WUNU got off to a lively and dynamic start with the interactive game ‘Financial Fest’, organised for students of the WUNU Vocational College of Economics, Law and Information Technology.

 The School of Polish and European Law invites students and lecturers to attend an open lecture on the topic of ‘Constitutional Justice’.

 On 16 March 2026, in Bydgoszcz (Republic of Poland), Natalia Bezpalova, Acting Head of the Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Sport at WUNU, Professor Roman Tsykvas and Associate Professor Roman Hakh started training as part of the international project ‘Polish-Ukrainian Regional Adaptive Centres - Vol. 3’.

 The European Athletics Throwing Cup took place on 14–15 March in Nicosia (Cyprus). This prestigious international tournament brought together around 600 athletes from 28 countries, who competed in the shot put, discus throw, javelin throw and hammer throw.

We invite you to take part in the 19th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists and Students, ‘Innovative Processes of Economic and Socio-Cultural Development: Ukrainian and Foreign Experience’, which will take place on 19 March 2026, starting at 10:00 am.

 Tetiana Nadvynychna and Zoriana Krupnyk, associate professors at the Department of Psychology and Social Work at WUNU and specialists at the Education and Research Centre for Social and Psychological Support and Resilience, are running training courses entitled ‘Guidance and Support for Children and Classes During the Grieving Process’ for educators in the Ternopil region.

 Vasyl Yakoviv, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Sport at WUNU, took part in the academic conference ‘dvs-Tagung Sport und Raum 2026’ on the topic ‘Informelle Sport- und Bewegungsräume: Chancen und Herausforderungen’, which was dedicated to exploring contemporary approaches to the organisation of informal spaces for physical activity. The event took place on 12–13 March 2026 at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg in Erlangen, Germany.
