WEST UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

 Another group of internally displaced persons has begun studying at the West Ukrainian National University as part of a free training course on entrepreneurship, which is being implemented jointly with the NGO Educational and Social Innovations with the financial support of the European Education and Culture Executive Agency as part of the international project "The Universities’ Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage societal crises" (TURBO). The project coordinator in Ukraine is the International Foundation for Social Adaptation.

 In August, two groups of Educational Security Service employees completed a three-day course on ‘Psychological Self-Help and Helping Others Skills.’ The training was conducted by specialists from our centre, associate professors of the Department of Psychology and Social Work, and trainers from the Israel Trauma Coalition, Tetiana Nadvynychna and Zoriana Krupnyk.

 The International Center for Culture and Development of WUNU announces a competitive selection for participation in the European Youth Forum EYFON YouthDays “Back2Basic” to be held on September 1-5 in Neumarkt, Austria.

 Today, on 2 July 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine Martin Oberg visited West Ukrainian National University. During the meeting with students and teachers of the university, topical issues of European integration processes were discussed.

 As part of the development of the strategic partnership between the West Ukrainian National University and the National Police of Ukraine, a working visit to the Patrol Police Academy in Kyiv was held. The event brought together representatives of the academic community, law enforcement and international organisations to discuss the development of a new security culture.

 We are pleased to inform you that West Ukrainian National University is the organizing body for the IEEE IDAACS 2025 International Scientific Conference.

 Recently, an interesting and informative online meeting was held with representatives of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, Ms. Svitlana Shytikova and Ms. Zhanna Talanova, who shared pertinent information on opportunities for Ukrainian higher education institutions to participate in Erasmus+ projects in the field of inclusion.

 The Law Faculty of West Ukrainian National University invites schoolchildren of the 9th-11th grades to join a summer school. "Law Leader" is a unique week-long course for upperclassmen that will help them to deepen their knowledge of law, international legal doctrine, and law enforcement!

 Recently, the Vistula Academy of Finance and Business (Olsztyn, Republic of Poland) hosted an International Interdisciplinary Forum of Student Research Groups, an event that brought together young scientists from different countries and universities.

 West Ukrainian National University hosted the first international energy forum ‘Clean Energy: Global Security and Innovation’. The main topics of the forum covered challenges and prospects in the field of energy security, ranging from renewable energy and the development of renewable energy sources and the modernisation of power grids to digitalisation, climate neutrality, decarbonisation and innovative energy efficiency.
