International cooperation in the field of digital tools for mental health

 The issue of mental health in Ukraine is gaining particular relevance in the context of war. Large-scale social upheavals, prolonged stress, loss and forced displacement have a significant impact on the mental state of the population, making mental health support one of the key priorities of state policy. A system of psychosocial assistance is gradually being developed in Ukraine, aimed at providing accessible and effective support services for different categories of the population. In these circumstances, an important direction for the development of the support system is the introduction of innovative digital tools that can complement traditional methods of psychological assistance.



The L. Kanishchenko Library's collection has been expanded

 The Leonid Kanishchenko Library has received a valuable addition to its collection: recent academic literature on law, history, philosophy, international relations, culture, pedagogy, management, philology, economics, psychology, ecology, public administration, and other subjects, donated by the leading international academic publisher Brill Publishers.

 From 13 to 15 February 2026, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology and Healthcare Oleksandr Bondar took part in the events of the international ecological project SoilTribes, dedicated to soils, sustainable land use and environmental education, which took place in three cities in Portugal – Beja, Castro Verde and Entradas.

International partnership to improve work with veterans in the criminal justice system

 A recent online partnership meeting was held as part of the Dutch-Ukrainian project ‘Fair, Transparent and Accountable Criminal Justice System in Ukraine’.

WUNU students completed training at CERGE-EI

 This autumn, more than 100 students from WUNU, in particular from the Department of Foreign Languages and ICT, Department of International Economic Relations and Department of International Economics, underwent training organised by the CERGE-EI academic institute.



TURBO Project Coordination Council: discussion of sustainability and reporting strategy

 A scheduled working meeting of the steering committee of the international TURBO project was recently held online. The event brought together partners to summarise the project's outcomes and outline a strategy for further development.





Establishing cooperation

 An official meeting between the Swedish delegation and the administration of West Ukrainian National University took place on February 11. Roger Fredriksson, Deputy Mayor of Ronneby, and Mikael Mortensson, Chairman of the Committee on Technical Issues, Recreation and Culture of the Kingdom of Sweden, spoke with the university's rector, Oksana Desyatnyuk.
