International seminar ‘Security in Law’

 On 19–20 December 2025, the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University hosted an international scientific seminar entitled ‘Security in Law,’ dedicated to a comprehensive understanding of the legal aspects of security in the context of contemporary global challenges.




Finance of the future: internship for teachers and students of the S. I. Yuriy Department of Finance

 From October to December 2025, lecturers from the S. I. Yuriy Department of Finance and Master's students enrolled in the Financial Literacy educational and professional programme had the opportunity to participate in an internship entitled ‘Digitalisation of Financial Monitoring: Modern Technologies, Innovations, and Prospects for Transparent Development’. The educational event was implemented as part of the international EURIDICE project and the Digital Europe Programme (with financial support from the European Union, Grant Agreement No. 101123121).



WUNU scientists are invited to participate in the XIV Traditional Scientific Conference NEW ECONOMY 2026

 The Department of Economics and Global Studies, together with WUNU's long-standing partner in scientific research, the Oikos Institute (Bosnia and Herzegovina), invites the scientific and teaching staff of West Ukrainian National University to participate in the XIV Traditional Scientific Conference NEW ECONOMY 2026 on the topic "New Horizons: Digital Economy and Responses to a Changing World", which will take place on 4-5 June 2026 at the School of Business, National Louis University, Nowy Sącz, Poland. WUNU is a co-organiser of the conference.



Business trip of WUNU representatives to Hungary to develop international cooperation

 Representatives of West Ukrainian National University — Head of the International Relations Office Yuliia Voityshyn and specialist of the same office Anastasiia Matviishyn — were on a business trip to Budapest (Hungary).



West Ukrainian National University has become a partner of the international SUPERNOVA project, supported by the Kingdom of Norway

 West Ukrainian National University has become a partner in the international SUPERNOVA (Cooperation for Competence and Partnership Development) project, which has received funding under the UA-KOMP programme with the support of Norway. The SUPERNOVA project aims to develop competencies and long-term partnerships between the Kingdom of Norway and Ukraine in the fields of education, business, public administration and civil society.



WUNU won the RITA (Region in Transition) international grant competition – ‘Polish-Ukrainian Regional Adaptation Centres – VOL.3’

 West Ukrainian National University (Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Sports), together with a consortium of partners, won the RITA (Region in Transition) international grant competition – ‘Polsko-Ukraińskie Regionalne Adaptacyjne Centra – VOL.3’. The project aims to develop a network of academic centres that will provide support in the areas of mental health, physical fitness and social integration to people from high-risk groups.



Teachers of the S. I. Yuriy Department of Finance took part in a scientific conference in Rome

 On 25 and 26 November 2025, lecturers from the S. I. Yuriy Department of Finance had the opportunity to participate in the international scientific conference ‘Axiology of the Legal System: Theory and Practice,’ held at the Pontifical Gregorian University (Italy).



Expanding opportunities for Ukrainian researchers: Seed Fund for Research Excellence grant now open

 As part of the UK–Ukraine University Twinning Initiative, coordinated by Cormack Consultancy Group (CCG), the launch of the Seed Fund for Research Excellence programme has been announced. The initiative aims to strengthen the research capacity of Ukrainian universities during this difficult period of war and support their readiness to participate in larger international programmes, such as Horizon Europe.
