Finance of the future: internship for teachers and students of the S. I. Yuriy Department of Finance
From October to December 2025, lecturers from the S. I. Yuriy Department of Finance and Master's students enrolled in the Financial Literacy educational and professional programme had the opportunity to participate in an internship entitled ‘Digitalisation of Financial Monitoring: Modern Technologies, Innovations, and Prospects for Transparent Development’. The educational event was implemented as part of the international EURIDICE project and the Digital Europe Programme (with financial support from the European Union, Grant Agreement No. 101123121).
In the current context of digital transformation of the financial system, the course has become an important educational platform that combines academic approaches with practical analysis of current challenges in financial monitoring, digital technologies, and ensuring transparency of financial flows. The internship is focused on the real conditions of the financial system, particularly in the context of wartime, post-war recovery and Ukraine's European integration.
Topics related to the digitalisation of the banking sector, financial investigations, virtual assets and international cooperation in the field of financial monitoring were of particular interest. Practice-oriented training allowed participants not only to deepen their theoretical knowledge, but also to develop skills in financial risk analysis, the use of modern digital tools, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of financial monitoring systems. An important element of the internship was teamwork on projects, which contributed to the development of critical thinking, professional communication, and the ability to make informed decisions in a digital environment.
During the internship, particular attention was paid to the ethical, legal and social aspects of the digitalisation of financial monitoring, including issues of personal data protection, human rights compliance and institutional accountability. This approach enabled participants to develop a comprehensive understanding of the role of financial monitoring in ensuring transparency, trust and sustainable economic development.
Based on the test results, the participants received a certificate that complies with European educational standards and confirms the acquired competencies. The acquired knowledge has become important for the professional development of both teachers and students, opening up new opportunities for further development, scientific activity, and practical work in the financial sector in general, as well as improving the financial literacy of the population.
