WUNU won the RITA (Region in Transition) international grant competition – ‘Polish-Ukrainian Regional Adaptation Centres – VOL.3’

 West Ukrainian National University (Department of Physical Rehabilitation and Sports), together with a consortium of partners, won the RITA (Region in Transition) international grant competition – ‘Polsko-Ukraińskie Regionalne Adaptacyjne Centra – VOL.3’. The project aims to develop a network of academic centres that will provide support in the areas of mental health, physical fitness and social integration to people from high-risk groups.


The project is co-financed by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation as part of the RITA – Przemiany w regionie programme (RITA2 – Partnerstwo do potęgi 2025 competition), implemented by the Education for Democracy Foundation.


The partnership consortium, supported by WSG Bydgoszcz University, includes: Zaporizhzhia National University, Ivan Bobersky Lviv State University of Physical Culture, Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities (Rivne), National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sports (Kyiv), Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture.


For West Ukrainian National University, participation in this project is of great importance at both the institutional and regional levels, as its implementation will contribute to the introduction of modern and effective practices aimed at addressing pressing issues associated with the mental and physical health of citizens.
