WEST UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

 As part of the academic mobility programme, an online lecture was given by renowned translation scholar, visiting professor Dr Latif Durlanik for students majoring in B11 Philology.

 West Ukrainian National University hosted the graduation ceremony for the second group of internally displaced persons who completed the retraining and social adaptation programme in entrepreneurship as part of the TURBO project “The Universities’ Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage societal crises”. The event marked the successful conclusion of a three-month joint journey.

 With a view to expanding international cooperation in the field of higher education, fostering scientific and academic ties, and establishing professional links between Ukrainian and Latvian educational and legal institutions, academics from West Ukrainian National University visited Riga.

 We sincerely congratulate the students of West Ukrainian National University who have been selected to study at Pädagogische Hochschule Kärnten (Klagenfurt, Austria) for a semester!

 Students of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the West Ukrainian National University continue the tradition of good deeds within the framework of the environmental campaign ‘FEM-Green’.

 As part of an initiative launched by the newly elected student council of the Faculty of Economics and Management, a series of events aimed at helping future economists, managers, entrepreneurs and marketers develop their soft skills kicked off today at West Ukrainian National University. The first monthly meeting began with a team-building event for first-year students.

 In collaboration with the Supreme Court, the Ukrainian Hub of the European Law Institute, based at the Faculty of Law of West Ukrainian National University, is organising a series of webinars designed to familiarise participants with the case law of the Supreme Court.

 The ‘Voices of the Future’ project is being implemented by the Committee on Youth and Sport of the Youth Council under the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, in partnership with the NGO ‘Cossack Guard of Ukraine’ and the Society Development Academy, and with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Youth and Sport, and other partners.

 At West Ukrainian National University, participants of the retraining and social adaptation programme for internally displaced persons are currently undertaking studies in the field of ‘Entrepreneurship’, which is being implemented as part of the international TURBO project (‘The Universities’ Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage societal crises’). This project aims to support IDPs, develop entrepreneurial skills, facilitate professional adaptation to new living conditions, and create opportunities for self-fulfilment.

 West Ukrainian National University is home to the STEM School, an educational hub that brings together gifted students interested in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The school’s aim is to nurture a generation of future leaders and innovators capable of thinking creatively, analytically and responsibly.
