Valentyn Pyzhyk elected chair of Ternopil Youth City Council

 On 1 December 2025, the first session of the 8th convocation of the Ternopil Youth City Council took place. A chairperson, secretary and deputy chairpersons were elected.


The Youth City Council is an advisory body that represents the interests of young people in the community and promotes their participation in decision-making processes affecting city life.


The 8th convocation of the Youth City Council will be headed by Valentyn Pyzhyk, a third-year student at the B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations and a delegate from the Student Council of West Ukrainian National University.


The mayor of Ternopil, Serhiy Nadal, congratulated the newly elected Chair of the Ternopil City Youth Council, adding: “The Youth City Council is your voice in decision-making. It is an opportunity to have a real impact on how the city develops. The Chair of the Youth City Council will become my advisor on youth issues. This means that we will work side by side. I know that you have the power to change Ternopil. I see it in your eyes, in your energy. And I want this energy to work for the good of our city. Thank you to everyone who took part in the elections today. You are taking on responsibility, and that is the most important thing. Ternopil needs people like you."
