Lecture by an American entrepreneur on public speaking skills
The Department of Foreign Languages and ICT of WUNU and students of the Philology programme immersed themselves in the world of effective communication at an exclusive training session entitled ‘How to speak publicly in English’!
A special guest, Brian Benjamin, shared his experience, invaluable knowledge and professional secrets. Brian is an American entrepreneur, lecturer and founder of the Innovate Eng English language business school, who has been actively collaborating with Ukrainian companies for more than five years.
Students received a comprehensive guide to public speaking, covering such critical topics as: why public speaking is fundamental to academic and career success; key strategies: what to focus on and what mistakes to avoid at all costs; methods for overcoming stage fright and developing absolute confidence; secrets of structured and engaging presentation delivery; how to turn communication skills into a powerful tool for influence.
The trainer emphasised that public speaking is about more than just language; it is also about confidence in one's knowledge and the ability to convey it to an audience. These skills are indispensable for any professional; they are an investment in confidence and professional success.
