WUNU student wins the 2nd international tournament "Ivano-Frankivsk Boxing Cup"
On December 16-19, Ivano-Frankivsk hosted the 2nd International Tournament "Ivano-Frankivsk Boxing Cup", dedicated to the memory of Ihor Haidamaka. West Ukrainian National University was represented by Olesia Krysiuk, who got a convincing victory in the category of up to 81 kg.
Junior Biathlon Cup
Vitalii Mandzyn, a student of West Ukrainian National University, won a bronze medal at the IBU Biathlon Junior Cup. The junior relay took place on December 12 in Martell, Italy.

On December 1-5, the traditional annual Andriy Kotelnyk's boxing tournament took place in Lviv. Nazar Cheverda, a law student at West Ukrainian National University, won the gold medal.

WUNU students won the latest stage of the Eastern European Zonal Volleyball Association Championship
Vladyslava Hubenko, Bohdana Hrytsyk, Veronika Turkula and Sofiia Brovchenko, students of WUNU Professional College of Economics, Law and Information Technologies, played in the latest stage of the Eastern European Zonal Volleyball Association championship as part of the U-17 girls' national team of Ukraine. Our volleyball players won two victories in Group A against Estonia and Georgia. In the match for bronze medals, the girls defeated the team of Belarus with a score of 3:1.
WUNU student is the winner of the Greco-Roman Wrestling Cup of Ukraine
Volodymyr Voitovych, a student of West Ukrainian National University, won the Ukrainian Greco-Roman Wrestling Cup among athletes under 21. The competition wasa held in Kharkiv on November 20-21. We are proud of Volodymyr's determination and commitment and wish him new victories!
WUNU handball team brought home yet another victory!
"WUNU-Energo-SHVSM" of West Ukrainian National University triumphed in the latest round of the Ukrainian handball championship among the teams of the major league.
On the first day of the competition the game ended with a score of 25:30, on the second - 25:33.

Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet participated in the opening of the WUNU Sports Complex
A momentous occasion was celebrated today at the Classical University of Ternopil - the official opening ceremony of the Sports Complex of West Ukrainian National University. Students, athletes, coaches, and teachers welcomed the guests: Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet, Head of Ternopil Regional State Administration Volodymyr Trush, and Ternopil Mayor Serhiy Nadal.
International Day of University Sport at TNEU
On September 20, Ternopil National Economic University will celebrate International Day of University Sport. The staff and student community will start the day at 7.30 am. for the "University Workout". The participants will gather on the synthetic football fields.
The celebration will continue on the waterfront of the Ternopil pond near the beach "Tsyhanka", where at 14.00 the "University Sea Mile" competition in Dragon Boat Racing will be held for the chance to win the TNEU Cup. The teams of TNEU faculties and institutes will compete with each other.
We invite all the professors, students, and other staff to support their favorite team and celebrate the International Day of University Sport in TNEU!
