WUNU student - participant in the World Athletics Championship!
The Executive Committee of the Athletics Federation of Ukraine approved the team for participation in the 2022 World Championships in Athletics. The competition will take place on July 15-24 in Eugene (Oregon, USA).
Viktoriia Tkachuk, a student of West Ukrainian National University, is part of the team.

WUNU graduate - winner of the Deaflympic Basketball Games!
Ivan Dudar, a graduate of West Ukrainian National University, won gold at the Deaflympics.
In the decisive match, Ukraine confidently defeated rivals from the United States with a score of 91:66, and Ivan became the best player, scoring 21 points.
The competition was held in Brazil from 1 to 15 May 2022.

Diana Marushchak wins charity competition
On May 26, a charity competition was held in Germany (Cologne), the contributions of which were donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Diana Marushchak, a student of WUNU Professional College of Economics, Law and Information Technologies, won first place in the 3,000-meter run among her peers.

Students of West Ukrainian National University won two medals. Yurii Yaremchuk received gold in the under 64 kg. weight category, while Anastasiia Sykish won bronze in the under 50 kg. group

Ivanna Diachenko, a student at West Ukrainian National University, has won the first stage of the Canoe Račice World Cup in kayaking and canoeing.

WUNU students are winners of the Ukrainian Athletics Cup!
On February 12, the Indoor Athletics Cup of Ukraine was held in Kyiv. Students of West Ukrainian National University won three awards. Tetiana Kohut won gold in the 2000 m race, Anna Plotitsyna won the 60 m race, Viktor Hnativ won a silver medal in the 2000 m race.

The Ukrainian Junior Indoor Athletics Championship took place on January 22-23 in Sumy. 419 athletes from 24 regions of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv took part in the competition. Tetiana Kohut, a student of the Faculty of Law of West Ukrainian National University, won 2000 metres steeplechase.
WUNU students won the Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestling championship
On January 20-21, the championship of Ukraine in Greco-Roman wrestling among men under 23 was held in Zaporizhzhia.
WUNU students will represent the university at the Olympic Games in Beijing
On January 21, the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine approved the team proposed by the national federations and based on detailed analysis and consideration of the working group to prepare for the Beijing Games in accordance with international and national selection systems.
WUNU students were awarded for sports achievements
The other day the final meeting of the Ternopil Region Athletics Federation was held, during which student athletes of West Ukrainian National University were awarded. Among the honorees: Viktor Hnativ - the best male athlete of Ternopil region among juniors, Tetiana Kohut - the best female athlete of Ternopil region among juniors, Diana Marushchak - the best athlete of Ternopil region among girls.
