A WUNU student will compete in the Biathlon World Cup with the women's national team of Ukraine
Oleksandra Merkushyna, a 17-year-old student of West Ukrainian National University, will compete in the Ukrainian women's biathlon team at the World Cup. The competition will be held in Hochfilzen (Austria).
WUNU athletes won 5 medals at the European Sambo Championships
On December 1-2, the European Sambo Championships were held in Romania. Students of West Ukrainian National University took part in the competition.
WUNU athletes are winners of the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament "Prague Wrestling Open 2022"
The International Greco-Roman Wrestling Tournament "Prague Wrestling Open 2022" took place on November 25-27 in Prague. Teams from Ukraine, Romania, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, and Germany took part in the competition. Students of West Ukrainian National University performed successfully in the tournament, winning three medals.
Bronze at the Ukrainian Judo Championship!
On November 17, the Ukrainian Judo Championship was held in Kyiv.
Students of West Ukrainian National University successfully performed at the competition: Snizhana Plish and Mykhailo Svidrak won bronze awards.

Oleg Golovatyi, a first-year student of WUNU Faculty of Law, majoring in International Law, placed third at the European Karate Championships.

Victories of students at the championship of Ukraine in boxing among men and women
Last week, from October 10 to 16, the Ukrainian boxing championship among men and women under 22 years of age took place in Rivne. Students of the classical university performed successfully and won three awards.
Mini-football tournament
On the initiative of the Student Campus Council of WUNU, on October 17-18, a mini-football tournament for the Rector's Cup was held at West Ukrainian National University between students living in the dormitories.
The words of support and thunderous ovations of the fans who raged in the stands gave the players a boost and motivated them to fight for the university's main cup. According to the results of the competition, team of Residence Hall No. 5 won, Residence Hall No. 3 came in second, while footballers of Residence Hall No. 1 placed third.
Bronze awards at the championship of Ukraine in gymnastics
The championship of Ukraine in gymnastics was recently held in Kyiv. Athletes from the classical university of Ternopil joined the championship, namely: Yulia Habuda and Oksana Sokolovska, who won bronze awards in team competitions.
