European Regional Policy: Balance of Local, National and Pan-European Interests

Project 612067-ERR-1-2019-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE "European Regional Policy: Balance of Local, National and Pan-European Interests" of the Jean Monnet Programme for 2019/2020

1. The project is implemented in accordance with the Grant Agreement for activities under the Erasmus + program №201-1891 / 001-001 between the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission and Ternopil National University of Economics (TNEU) of October 11, 2019.

2. The institutional basis for the implementation of the project is the International Economics Master's programme in the specialty 051 "Economics" in the field of knowledge 05 "Social and Behavioral Sciences". The educational programme is taught by the Department of International Economics of B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations of WUNU.

3. The project is implemented in accordance with the Order of the Rector of WUNU No.53 of February 17, 2020, which regulates:

a) creation of a working group for project implementation;

b) inclusion of the discipline "European Regional Policy" in the curriculum of the specialty "International Economics" for English, Ukrainian and distance learning Master's level (see paragraph 2c of this report) and the distribution of lectures and practical classes among teachers of the course;

c) organization of a series of trainings at WUNU on "Practice of implementing local management in the EU" for practitioners of regional economy and the distribution of training hours among teachers of the practical course.

c) On June 24, 2020, by the decision of the Academic Board of TNEU, the textbook "European Regional Policy" edited by A. Krysovatyy and I. Lishchynskyi was recommended for publication (the printed version of the textbook is expected in July 2020).

5. During the 2019-20 academic year, 28 students (17 in Ukrainian and 11 in English) were recruited to study the discipline "European Regional Policy", 27 of them successfully passed the exam in the discipline. Exam information on the discipline

7. Due to the quarantine conditions, it was decided to postpone the implementation of the training cycle "The practice of implementing local management in the EU" to the next academic year (approved by the European Commission);
