Danish delegation visited TNEU
From October 11 to October 17, a delegation from the Kingdom of Denmark visited Ternopil National Economic University. This study visit gave Danish students the opportunity to attend lectures, visit companies and get acquainted with the culture of Ukraine.
On October 16, three teachers and nine master students from the Business School of Aarhus University (Denmark) arrived at TNEU. The students of the Ukrainian-Dutch faculty-programme told Danish guests interesting facts about Ukraine, presented Ternopil, and also gave a detailed account of the past and present of the Ternopil National Economic University. Danish students, in turn, shared information about Denmark and the Aarhus University.
After the presentations, an interesting discussion on various aspects of student life and study in Denmark unfolded. It was nice to see not only our students, but also pupils of the Ternopil Specialized School №3, who actively communicated with the guests at this meeting. During thier visit the Danish delegation also attended two lectures by the professors of the Department of International Economic Relations held on October 16, 2018.
Attention university community!
Tomorrow, October 24, at 15.00 in the hall of the meeting of the Academic Council of TNEU, a universal university event dedicated to the UN Day will take place. The meeting was organized within the framework of the Global Information Campaign "Global Sustainable Development Goals 2016-2030" with participation of UNDP regional coordinator in Ukraine, Igor Stefaniv.
International Academic Week at Wroclaw University of Economics
From October 8 to October 11, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor at the Department of Economic Theory of TNEU Oleksandr Dluhopolskyi took part in the International Academic Week organized by the International Office of the Wroclaw University of Economics, Poland. The International Academic Mobility Week brought together 15 research scientists from 10 countries (France, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Croatia, Portugal, Italy, Ukraine, Greece, Russia), who delivered lectures for undergraduate and graduate students of economics.
The topic of professor Dluhopolskyi's speech concerned the influence the degree of trust has on the effectiveness of reforms in Ukraine. A separate option for the international event was workshops in the form of round tables devoted to research collaboration and joint publications in international editions (Scopus, WoS).
In general, the results of international internships laid the foundation for the exchange of experience in conducting trainings and lectures, the creation of project teams for future international projects, as well as interdisciplinary research.
TNEU joined the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings
In October our university joined the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, which, since 2010, is an important initiative to implement sustainable development in higher education institutions around the world. Currently, 619 universities from all corners of our planet are registered in the global UI GreenMetric rating, among them seven Ukrainian institutions.
According to the requirements of the Initiative, an environmental passport of the Ternopil National Economic University was created. It shows the attitude of our institution to the environment according to six groups of criteria: creation of a favorable eco-landscape environment, energy saving, savings of water resources, waste management, the use of ZeroEmission vehicles , conducting educational activities and research in the field of sustainable development.
Participating in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings enables universities to measure their own sustainable development policies, share experiences and learn about best practices in environmental issues with other universities in the network, and build on future collaboration to make our world better.
Intellectual Student Races
Students of our university are funny, active, and cheerful. Everyone had the opportunity to witness it on October 17 at the university's exhibition hall during the intellectual games called "Student races", organized by the staff of the Department of Humanities and Education. The teams of all faculties competed in a friendly environment, answered questions about student life, the history of celebration of the Ukrainian Student Day, the history of TNEU, photo, video, music questions, and learned a lot of new interesting information.
Of course, as in all competitions, there were winners.
The first place was achieved by the team of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing - "Mother's Sun", which received a transition Cup and sweet gifts from the organizers of the "race". In second place was the team "Born Champions" of the College of Economics, Law and Information Technologies, and in third - the "Name It Later" team of the Faculty of Economics and Management.
Day of Health at Faculty of Accounting and Audit
On October 16, professors and students of the Faculty of Accounting and Audit arrived at the University on bicycles, since the FAA community organized the "Day of Health", which supported the "Green University" development concept of the higher education institution.
The courtyard near the TNEU Building #2 was voluminous, lively and filled with fun throughout the day. Here continued competitions on racing bikes, rollerblading, skipping ropes. Students together with teachers overcome makeshift obstacle course. Director of the Department of Health of the Ukrainian Unitary Conference Serhii Lutskyi conducted a lecture on "Health Education and Secrets of Personal Success". In the end, everybody had the opportunity to take part in tasting delicious and healthy dishes, as well as to go through a medical examination.
The staff of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing of TNEU wishes everyone good health and passes the torch to the Faculty of Finance!
Cooperation with the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University
Exchange of experience with foreign partners, work on joint projects open up new opportunities for both academics and students of higher education institutions. On October 16, TNEU launched another interesting direction of international activity - cooperation with the University of Georgia. TNEU rector Andriy Krysovatyy and rector of the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Merab Khalvashi, signed a corresponding Memorandum during a visit in Batumi. Colleagues discussed the prospects of joint work in the scientific and educational spheres.
We truly believe that this cooperation will prove fruitful and bring quality results!
Congratulations to Andrii Vavryk!
During October 3-4, the First Forum of European Union Networks in Ukraine was held in Kyiv. The event gathered representatives of Euroclubs, EU information centers, graduates of European educational programs, as well as other activists and experts from all over Ukraine cooperating with the EU Delegation in Ukraine. The purpose of the Forum is to familiarize the network members with the latest developments in EU-Ukraine relations and to share lessons learned.
During the Forum, an awards ceremony for the winners of the Contest on the topic of education in the EU and cooperation between Ukraine and the EU took place. More than 130 videos were submitted to the competition. The theme of this year was education, as well as cooperation between Ukraine and the EU. Videos were evaluated in two categories: "professionals", for participants with specialized education or experience in the field of video production, and "amateurs", that is, those who did not have the relevant experience
The first place in the category "Professionals", according to the decision of the professional jury was awarded to Andrii Vavryk, TNEU student ("Marketing", Faculty of Economics and Management) for his video "Benefits of Studing in Europe".

Center for International Security and Cooperation is now open
On October 11, the Center for International Security and Cooperationwas oficially opened at the Ternopil National Economic University.
Among the guests were the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law V. M. Sloma, Head of the Office for International Relations U. Z. Koruts, Head of the Center for International Security and Cooperation O.I. Vivchar, consultant on information, analytical and legal issues of the Center for International Security and Cooperation N.O. Chudyk, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Procedure M. Yu. Kravchuk.
The purpose of the Center's activities is to organize the scientific, informational, research, analytical and educational activities of teachers, students, post-graduate students of the University in the field of international security and cooperation.
The Center's activities include cooperation with Ukrainian and foreign scientific institutions, research and expert centers, educational institutions engaged in studying and researching the problems of international security and multilateral cooperation in the field of international security.
Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration visited TNEU
On October 11, the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze visited Ternopil National Economic University. Students welcomed her with a flash mob "Ukraine - is Europe."
A discussion took place in the assembly hall, attended by the Rector of TNEU Andriy Krysovatyy, the head of the Ternopil Regional State Administration Stepan Barna and the Vice Prime Minister. Students had the opportunity to ask speakers some questions about dual citizenship in Ukraine, Britain's exit from the EU, and the problems of inadequate gender equality. Educational migration was one of the most interesting and, at the same time, topical issues.
