Project «Polish-Ukrainian Regional Adaptation Centers – Vol. 3»

The "Polish-Ukrainian Regional Adaptation Centers – Vol. 3" project is a vital international initiative aimed at supporting high-risk individuals through the promotion of mental health, social integration, and physical activity. The implementation of this project was made possible through cooperation between Ukrainian and Polish partners, with the support of the "RITA – Region in Transition" (Przemiany w regionie) program.
As part of the project, the "Polish-Ukrainian Adaptation Center – Vol. 3" was opened at West Ukrainian National University. Its activities are dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive space for internally displaced persons (IDPs), youth, and members of the local community. The Center will serve as a platform for occupational therapy sessions, adaptive games, and integration events designed to help participants overcome stress, anxiety, and social isolation, while fostering communication and mutual support.
A particular value of the project lies in its international cooperation with Polish partners and the exchange of best practices in social adaptation and inclusion. Furthermore, participation in this program opens up new opportunities for developing the university's research and educational initiatives, implementing modern European practices, and strengthening international academic collaboration.
