The Polish-Ukrainian Adaptation Centre of WUNU visited schoolchildren in Velyki Haii
The Polish-Ukrainian Adaptation Centre of West Ukrainian National University recently held another outreach event, which provided the local children with unforgettable experiences, a supportive environment and valuable learning opportunities. On this occasion, the centre’s coordinator, Roman Hakh, and volunteers Yana Peteletska, Yana Nizdropa and Oksana Sokolovska led an engaging session of adaptive games for pupils at the Educational Complex ‘General Education School (Years 1–3) – Preschool Educational Institution in the village of Velyki Haii” in the Ternopil region.
The participants actively took part in a variety of activities, exercises and adapted games designed to foster communication, teamwork, increased physical activity and the creation of a positive and safe emotional environment. The session passed in an incredibly friendly atmosphere and evoked a host of genuine emotions in the pupils. Such events are an extremely important part of the Centre’s work, as they promote inclusive practices and create a space for active interaction between children and young people.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to PE teacher Volodymyr Nazark for his excellent organisation, comprehensive support and assistance in running this session.
The Polish-Ukrainian Adaptation Centre operates as part of the project “Polish-Ukrainian Regional Adaptation Centres – VOL.3”, which is co-funded by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation under the “RITA – Changes in the Region” programme, implemented by the “Education for Democracy” Foundation.
