Department of Transport and Logistics

 

The staff of the Department of Transport and Logistics of WUNU trains specialists in the following specialties and educational programs:

192 Construction and civil engineering. Educational program:
Civil Engineering (Bachelor's degree)

274 Automobile transport. Educational programs: Automobile transport (bachelor's and master's degrees)

275 Transport technologies (in Automobile Transport). Educational programs:
Transport Management and Logistics (Bachelor's degree)
Transport Technologies (in Automobile Transport) (Bachelor's and Master's degrees)


In the Construction and civil engineering study program, in addition to general disciplines, students study the following professional disciplines:
Regulatory support of the construction industry; Architecture of buildings and structures; Real estate development; Organization of construction; Transport planning and logistics; Urbanism and spatial planning; BIM technologies in construction; Building structures; Construction production technology; Inspection, testing and operation of building structures; Production base of construction; Municipal services; Descriptive geometry and engineering graphics; Engineering geodesy; Mechanics of soils, bases and foundations; Eurocodes and European standards in civil engineering.


During their studies in the specialty "Automobile Transport", in addition to general disciplines, students study the following professional disciplines: Technical diagnostics of cars; Technological equipment for car maintenance and repair; Car engines; Electric cars; Diagnosis of mechatronic systems of cars; Electrical equipment of cars; Digital technologies for vehicle performance management; Warehousing; Innovative methods and technologies of car operation and service; Certification and insurance on motor transport; Personnel management in the car industry; Technical operation of cars; Road transport; Logistics.


After graduating from the Department, graduates can hold the following positions: Head of maintenance station; Vehicle operation and repair engineer; Car diagnostics and repair specialist; Specialist in organizing the activities of motor transport enterprises and service stations; Specialist in technical operation and maintenance of vehicles; Specialist in technical control of transport; Transport certification and insurance specialist; Transport safety inspector; Accident expert.


During their studies in the specialty "Transport Technologies and Logistics", in addition to general disciplines, students study the following professional disciplines: TMS Logistics. Transportation management; WMS Logistics. Warehouse management; PTV Traffic Suite. Transport planning; International transportation; Freight forwarding activities; Multimodal transportation; Logistics; Transport geography; Freight transportation; Passenger transportation; Traffic organization; Intelligent transport systems; Transport economics; Transport telematics; Accident examination; Ergonomic support of transport processes; Design of transport and storage complexes; Transport planning of cities; Personnel management in transport.


After completing their studies at the department, graduates willbecome qualified specialists in the field of training and management of construction processes with a focus on complex solutions of technological, technical and economic context using modern construction information technologies for design, modeling and optimization of processes in construction and civil engineering.
Our graduates will receive a modern classical natural science education and gain knowledge in the field of social and economic disciplines, master relevant modern knowledge and understand the concepts, principles and theory of architectural structures, theory of construction technologies, other engineering and management disciplines. They will be able to successfully apply the knowledge gained at WUNU in their professional activities, understand the interrelationships and consequences of alternative solutions and be able to optimize them. Specialists will be able to use the theory, criteria, practical procedures and tools to solve technical, technological, economic and managerial problems of complex preparation and implementation of buildings and structures. The multidisciplinary profile of the graduates is filled with knowledge of entrepreneurship, management, evaluation and legal frameworks in construction.
Our graduates are prepared to manage construction companies, design, build and operate buildings and structures, conduct economic and environmental audits of construction projects, and work effectively in public administration and local government.



The department actively cooperates with the following institutions and organizations: Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine; Eden-Trans LLC, Stellar MV LLC, Dornier Consulting International GmbH, WINGSTAR TRANSPORTATION LLC, where students also have the opportunity to gain practical experience, participate in internships, and gain employment.
