Department of Transport and Logistics

 

 The staff of the department trains specialists in the following specialties and educational programs
- J8 Transport Management and Logistics
- J8 Transport Technology (Road Transport)
- J8 Road Transport
- G19 Civil and Environmental Engineering


 EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM J8 “TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT AND LOGISTICS”

During their studies, in addition to general disciplines, students study the following professional disciplines:
Logistics; customs; information modeling of logistics systems; transport logistics; international transportation; freight forwarding; transport and warehouse complexes; transport geography; freight transportation; passenger transportation; traffic management; intelligent transport systems; transport economics; traffic accident examination; urban transport planning; transport personnel management; project management; modern transport technologies.

Specialized classrooms and laboratories provide laboratory, practical and research work with the use of modern software, technological equipment and innovative digital technologies: Ant-Logistics is a logistics automation system; jSolutions is a vehicle management system; PTV Vissim software package for transport planning and modeling in the field of transport and logistics.
After completing their studies at the department, graduates can hold the following positions:

Director of a transport and logistics company; logistics auditor; head of the logistics department; logistics consulting engineer; transport engineer; logistics manager; transport engineer; head of the transport department; traffic safety specialist; customs broker; urban transport planning engineer; traffic dispatcher; delivery and logistics technology implementation engineer.


EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM J8 “ROAD TRANSPORT”

In addition to general disciplines, students study the following professional disciplines:
Road transport enterprises; technical diagnostics of cars; cars; technological equipment for maintenance and repair of cars; car engines; electric cars; diagnostics of mechatronic systems of cars; electrical equipment of cars; digital technologies for managing the performance of vehicles; warehousing; innovative methods and technologies for the operation and maintenance of cars; certification and insurance in motor vehicles; personnel management in transport; examination of road accidents; automobile reassignment.
After completing their studies at the department, graduates can hold the following positions:
Head of a service station; vehicle operation and repair engineer; specialist in organizing the activities of motor transport enterprises; specialist in car diagnostics and repair; specialist in vehicle operation and maintenance; specialist in technical control in transport; specialist in certification and insurance in transport; transport safety inspector; accident expert.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM G19 “CIVIL ENGINEERING”

In addition to general disciplines, students study the following professional disciplines:
Real estate development; Reconstruction management; Construction production technologies; Architecture of buildings and structures; Construction materials science; Building structures; Construction production base; Engineering networks; Soil mechanics, bases and foundations; Organization and management in construction; Urbanism and transport planning; BIM technologies; CAD systems; Inspection, testing and operation of buildings and structures; Municipal economy; Feasibility study in civil engineering; European codes and European standards in civil engineering.
After completing their studies at the department, graduates can hold the following positions:
A graduate of our educational program is prepared to perform all the functions of a construction customer, manager, designer and builder in organizations of various forms of ownership. Graduates successfully work in architecture, construction, housing and communal services departments of executive committees of city, district and regional councils, administrations and territorial communities, and can work in management companies.
