CALL FOR ACADEMIC STAFF: Join the international online courses offered by the Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences

The Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences, together with its international partner universities, invites lecturers from WUNU to take part in teaching two joint international courses: ‘International Business’ and ‘International Nursing’.

The aim of the project is to create comprehensive semester-long online courses, which will be jointly developed and taught by academics from universities in different countries. Each lecturer involved prepares a small section of the course, whilst students from all participating universities have the opportunity to attend the entire course and benefit from the expertise and perspectives of an international group of lecturers.

Participation for lecturers involves delivering two 45-minute sessions in a live online format during the semester (the total duration of a single course will be approximately 12 academic hours); selecting a topic within the fields of ‘International Business’ or ‘International Nursing’ in line with their own area of expertise; teaching as part of a multinational team of academics; and encouraging students from their own university to undertake the full international course.

The timetable is spread across the entire semester, so lecturers are solely responsible for their own scheduled classes as set out in the timetable.

What do the university and students gain?

Thanks to a lecturer’s contribution of just 2 × 45 minutes, the university’s students gain full access to the entire semester-long course, including sessions led by lecturers from various countries.

The courses provide students with an international and comparative perspective, an introduction to various academic and professional approaches, and the opportunity to study alongside peers from other parts of the world.

The possibility of awarding ECTS credits and issuing an English-language micro-credential certifying the successful completion of the course is currently being considered.

Subject areas

International Business: international management, marketing, economics, finance, entrepreneurship, intercultural management, HR, sustainable development, digital transformation, international trade, etc.

International Nursing: nursing practice, public health, healthcare systems, patient safety, health promotion, clinical practice, nursing education, digital health, intercultural care, current challenges facing the sector.

Join us in building an international online community that brings together academics and students from different countries without the need to travel abroad.
