A joint research and production project between the ‘Nauka’ Research and Development Centre at WUNU and LIFE BIOCHEM

 The ‘Nauka’ R&D Production Farm of West Ukrainian National University, in collaboration with LIFE BIOCHEM, with the participation of academic and teaching staff from the Department of Ecology and Public Health and the Department of Agrobiotechnology of WUNU, are implementing a comprehensive research and production project aimed at investigating the effectiveness of modern biological technologies in soil fertility management systems.


The relevance of such research stems from the need to identify scientifically sound approaches to preserving soil potential, enhancing soil biological activity, optimising the transformation of organic matter, and ensuring the sustainable development of agricultural production.


The aim of the study is to determine the effect of biological substances on the functioning of the soil system, in particular on the level of soil biological activity, the intensity of microbiological processes, the rate of decomposition of crop residues, the availability of plant nutrients and the yield of agricultural crops.


Comprehensive soil analysis is of particular importance within the scope of this study, as it enables the assessment of the agrochemical and ecological condition of the soil, the monitoring of changes following the application of biological products, and the determination of the effectiveness of the proposed technological solutions.


The project’s findings will form the scientific basis for the development of practical recommendations on the effective application of biotechnologies in agricultural production; they will contribute to the implementation of the principles of sustainable farming, the conservation of soil resources and the development of environmentally sound models for the management of agroecosystems.
