WEST UKRAINIAN NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

 On 11 June 2026, a ceremony was held at the B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations to present certificates to participants of the training course ‘Fundamentals of European Integration’.

The training was organised as part of the project ‘Jean Monnet Chair in European Integration at West Ukrainian National University’ (101239881 — EUROWUNU — ERASMUS-JMO-2025-HEI-TCH-RSCH) with the support of the Erasmus+ programme.

Lyudmyla Havrylyuk-Yensen, Director of the B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations, and Mariia Lyzun, Project Manager and Professor of the Department of International Economics, addressed the participants with opening remarks. In their speeches, they emphasised the importance of deepening knowledge of European integration processes, the role of young people in shaping Ukraine’s European future, and the significance of the Erasmus+ programme’s educational initiatives for the development of modern higher education.

The sessions were led by researchers and lecturers from WUNU: Oksana Desyatnyuk, Andriy Krysovatyy, Mariia Lyzun, Ihor Lishchynskyi, Vitalina Kuryliak, Oleksandr Dluhopolskyi, Konstiantyn Flissak, and guest lecturer A. Boyar from Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University.

Participants of the training course had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of European integration processes, the institutional framework of the European Union, European policies and the current challenges facing the development of integration processes. The 150-hour course (5 ECTS credits) combined fundamental theoretical training with practical aspects of European integration activities.
