WUNU researchers have co-authored a collective monograph on the transformation of education
To mark Science Day in Ukraine, academics from the Department of Educology and Pedagogy of WUNU contributed to the publication of a collective monograph by Ukrainian scholars entitled ‘Education in an Era of Paradigmatic Changes: Challenges, Modern Practices, Posttraumatic Growth’.
This monograph addresses key issues in contemporary psychological and pedagogical education: educational policy in an era of paradigm shifts; post-traumatic personal growth against the backdrop of the current situation in Ukraine; trends in higher education and responses to the challenges posed by martial law; and modern practices in pre-school education that draw on both Ukrainian and international experience.
In particular, the co-authors have contributed the following chapters: Volodymyr Chaika, Head of the Department of Educology and Pedagogy at WUNU, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor; and Oksana Pysarchuk, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor — ‘The intellectual culture of a pre-school teacher in the context of innovative transformations’; Natalia Ratushniak, PhD in Primary Education, Associate Professor at the Department of Educology and Pedagogy — ‘The development of children’s coherent speech using the “PeppyPals” emotional intelligence development technology’; Andriana Shyshak, PhD in Primary Education, Senior Lecturer — ‘Modelling the implementation of pedagogical conditions for the development of information and digital skills in younger primary school pupils in the process of the digitalisation of primary education’; Rostyslav Rudenskyi, PhD in Early Childhood Education, Senior Lecturer — ‘Pedagogical foundations for organising cognitive activities for older pre-schoolers in the subject-based and play-based environment of a pre-school education institution’.
The academic research presented in this monograph represents a response to the challenges posed by martial law, a unique example of post-traumatic professional growth among academics, and the rapid development of psychological and educational science under extreme conditions.
