Uliana Koruts, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research at WUNU, presented the TURBO microcredit programme at a regional event organised by the National Qualifications Agency as part of the regional event ‘Education and the Labour Market: Strategy for Social Partnership’, organised in partnership with West Ukrainian National University.

They discussed strategically important issues relating to the development of a modern qualifications system, which is key to effective collaboration between the education sector, employers and the labour market.

Yurii Balaniuk, Head of the National Qualifications Agency, addressed the participants, emphasising the importance of finding effective solutions for the development of the qualifications system, professional standards and mechanisms for the recognition of competences, which must meet the real needs of the economy. It was in this context, during the second discussion session, that Uliana Koruts, the project manager for the international TURBO project at WUNU, presented a microcredit programme developed as part of the Erasmus+ KA2 TURBO project to the event’s participants, including the leadership of the National Agency for Qualifications, representatives of state institutions, the academic community and employers.

The presentation highlighted the successful implementation of the ‘Entrepreneurship’ study programme, designed to support internally displaced persons in the Ternopil region. The programme brought together 74 participants, combining academic study, practical training, psychological support and the development of entrepreneurial skills.

The presentation served as an example of how modern universities, in collaboration with international partners, can swiftly develop flexible educational solutions in response to societal challenges and the needs of the labour market.
