Students from the B. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations of WUNU, together with students from BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology, Canada), have successfully completed the COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) project, which aims to foster international academic cooperation and integrate Ukrainian students into the global educational community. It was an exciting journey – from the initial introductions within the international teams to the final presentations of their own research.

These weeks have been a time of challenges and discoveries: getting to know new cultures, different approaches to work, and communication that was sometimes difficult. At the same time, it was a time of support, mutual understanding and genuine teamwork. Each team followed its own unique path: the students learnt to negotiate, find joint solutions, listen to one another and, together, achieve results they can be proud of.

The final presentations were not merely the culmination of the project, but a testament to just how powerful ideas can be when they are created by people from all corners of the globe.

Congratulations to our students on the successful completion of the project! Participants included: Kamila Zadorozhna (MENM-11), Nazar Chornii (MEV-31), Sofia Anheliuk (MENM-21), Ivanna Ishkova (MENM-21), Viktoria Lishchuk (MENM-21), Andriana Morochylo (EME-11), Sofia Menko (MVS-11), Lilia Bodnar (MVS-11), Vitalii Slobodian (KN-11), Mykyta Poberezhnyi (BKP-13), Yaremiya Slobodian (BKP-12), Taras Olkhovetskyi (POL-21).

Special thanks to the project coordinators – Svitlana Kominko (BCIT, Canada) and Nataliia Batryn (Department of International Economic Relations, WUNU) – for their support, their faith in the students, and the opportunity to be part of this international experience.

Although the project has come to an end, it leaves behind much more than just results: new friendships, useful skills and a newfound confidence in one’s own abilities.
