Student majoring in International Law takes part in an international conference in Brussels
A student of International Law at West Ukrainian National University took part in the ALDE Party – Liberals and Democrats for Europe congress, which took place on 24–25 October 2025 in Brussels.
As a member of the youth delegation, he had the honour of representing Ukraine on the international stage, taking part in discussions on security, sustainability and the future of the European Union.
Over the course of two days, participants worked to promote Ukrainian interests among European liberal politicians and partners, discussing the challenges facing modern Europe. The congress served not only as a platform for dialogue, but also as an opportunity for young people to contribute to shaping a political vision for the Europe of the future.
The Brussels Declaration, presented by ALDE Party President Svenja Hahn, deserves special attention. She called for: “Shaping – to be a global leader in innovation, energy and economic strength. Acting – to invest in European defence and safeguard sovereignty. Implementing – to reform institutions, speak with one voice and defend democracy in the world.”
Our student’s participation in such international events is an example of the integration of Ukrainian education into the European sphere. It contributes to the development of a new generation of lawyers who understand global processes, are able to work in a multicultural environment, and are capable of representing Ukraine on the world stage.
Such initiatives strengthen the international reputation of Ukrainian universities and demonstrate that young Ukrainians are ready to be part of Europe’s future.
