A world in which technology shapes reality and ideas become innovations requires new ways of thinking, new approaches and new learning opportunities. STEM Week, taking place from 20 to 24 April at West Ukrainian National University as part of the All-Ukrainian ‘STEM Spring – 2026’ festival at the STEM R&D Lab, will provide just such a space. This is a series of educational and interactive events aimed at promoting science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.

This year, STEM Week explores the theme of architecture and construction as a space for ideas, solutions and creativity. We will demonstrate that every pupil and student is capable not only of imagining the future, but of designing it themselves, creating modern spaces under the slogan ‘STEM Lives Here’.

The event programme features a daily schedule organised around the key components of the STEAM concept, ensuring that participants are fully and progressively immersed in the world of modern science and technology.

As part of Science Day, participants will have the opportunity to explore innovative approaches to studying the human body through the use of VR technology, including the chance to examine anatomy and the workings of the mind in a VR environment.

Technology Day will be dedicated to showcasing cutting-edge technological solutions, with a focus on their practical application across various sectors.

During Engineering Day, participants will be introduced to the basics of 3D printing and model-making, and will engage in interactive activities with printed objects, which will help to develop their design thinking.

Art & AI Day will bring together creative practices and the capabilities of artificial intelligence, opening up new approaches to generating ideas and visual solutions.

Mathematics Day will bring participants together to tackle logic puzzles, develop algorithmic thinking and solve maths problems through teamwork.

During STEM Week, there will be interactive sessions, demonstrations of state-of-the-art equipment, team-building activities, and the presentation of themed souvenirs to participants. A key component of the event is the participation of Ukrainian and Dutch experts in the fields of innovative technologies, scientific research, engineering, digital transformation and the development of modern inventions, which will facilitate an international exchange of experience and best practices.

We invite students, lecturers, school pupils and anyone else interested to join us for STEM Week at West Ukrainian National University and discover new opportunities in modern education through practical experience, research and interdisciplinary collaboration.
