Scholarships for study and work placements in Slovakia
The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic (NSP) has opened applications for the 2026/2027 academic year. This is a unique opportunity for students and staff at our university to receive a grant to cover living expenses during mobility periods at Slovak higher education and research institutions.
Who can apply?
The programme is open to several categories of participants: Master’s students – for study periods of 1–2 semesters (4 to 10 months) at a Slovak higher education institution; PhD students – for conducting research lasting from 1 to 10 months; university lecturers – for delivering lectures or undertaking short-term teaching placements (1–10 months); researchers and artists – for carrying out joint research projects or artistic activities (1–10 months).
The scholarship covers the recipient’s accommodation, meals and basic living expenses during their stay in the country.
How do I apply?
The application process can only be completed online via the official web portals www.stipendia.sk (in Slovak) or www.scholarships.sk (in English).
Important deadlines: by 30 April 2026 (16:00): for stays beginning in the autumn semester; by 31 October 2026: for mobility during the summer semester.
