We invite lecturers to take part in the training course ‘The ABC of SD & how to develop sustainable management skills?’, which will be held from 13 to 17 April 2026 in a blended format.

‘The ABC of SD & how to develop sustainable management competencies?’ is a five-day training course for academic staff and postgraduate students at Ukrainian higher education institutions – partners in the Erasmus+ SUSTED project – including WUNU. The course is designed to facilitate the practical integration of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the educational process. The training bridges the critical gap between a strategic understanding of the SDGs and tangible changes in curricula, pedagogy and institutional culture, offering a step-by-step approach: from a conceptual understanding of the SDGs (Day 1) through localisation and stakeholder engagement (Day 2), to mastering pedagogical methods for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) (Day 3), developing KPIs (Day 4) to the creation of institutional action plans and professional learning communities (Day 5).

Each day concludes with a practical outcome for the partner university (matrices, maps, plans) that participants can implement within their own institutions, laying the groundwork for the launch of the ‘Sustainable Development Management’ course and the systematic transformation of universities.

Training objectives: to gain an understanding of the SDGs and their relevance to the educational process in higher education institutions; to develop competencies in the critical internationalisation of higher education institutions and communication with stakeholders to strengthen this process; to develop the ability to formulate methodological frameworks for ESD; to develop skills in measuring and reporting on progress towards achieving the SDGs; to develop an action plan for implementing the SDGs in individual educational institutions and within the educational process as a whole; to exchange experiences regarding best practices in the field of education for sustainable development.

Participants will receive a certificate (1 ECTS credit).

Participation is free of charge, subject to prior registration by 10 April 2026:
