Let’s bring business ideas to life – with confidence!
At West Ukrainian National University, participants of the retraining and social adaptation programme for internally displaced persons are currently undertaking studies in the field of ‘Entrepreneurship’, which is being implemented as part of the international TURBO project (‘The Universities’ Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage societal crises’). This project aims to support IDPs, develop entrepreneurial skills, facilitate professional adaptation to new living conditions, and create opportunities for self-fulfilment.
Under the guidance of Oleksandra Ovsianiuk, Associate Professor in the Department of Management, Public Administration and Personnel Management, the participants learnt the basics of business planning: they analysed the market and competitors, formulated their own business ideas, calculated costs, profits and payback periods, and identified the needs of future customers. The participants will put the knowledge they have gained into practice by creating their own business plans.
