The XIV International Scientific and Practical Distance Conference ‘Accounting, Taxation and Control: Theory and Methodology’ (dedicated to the 60th anniversary of West Ukrainian National University)
On 5 December 2025, the Department of Audit of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of WUNU held the XIV International Scientific and Practical E-Conference ‘Accounting, Taxation and Control: Theory and Methodology," dedicated to discussing current theoretical and methodological aspects of the development of accounting, taxation, and control in the context of modern challenges. The event brought together scientists, educators, students, and practitioners from Ukraine and abroad, who presented the results of their research and shared their practical experience.
During the conference, a wide range of issues were discussed, including: theoretical and methodological foundations of accounting as a knowledge system; features of organisation and accounting methods in the process of implementing European legislation; the role of accounting in managing the strategies of economic entities and shaping their competitive advantages, taking into account domestic experience and international practice. Considerable attention was paid to taxation issues in the context of current economic realities, the development of auditing and analysis as multi-purpose tools in a period of social transformation, and the use of IT and modelling methods in management and administration. A separate area of discussion was devoted to issues of international economics, finance and accounting practice, as well as the transformation of accounting, taxation and control systems in the context of the digitalisation of the economy.
The event was attended by 167 participants from 10 countries, including Ukraine, Germany, Argentina, Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Moldova, Poland, Malaysia and France.
