Internship abroad
We are pleased to announce that Yaroslav Rudov, a student majoring in International Law at West Ukrainian National University, has completed a two-month internship in Warsaw at one of Poland's leading law firms, Rymarz Zdort Maruta (Rymarz, Zdort, Maruta, Wachta, Gasiński, Her i Wspólnicy sp.k.).
RZM consistently ranks among the leaders in prestigious international ratings, including The Lawyer European Awards, The Legal 500 and Legal 500 Central and Eastern Europe Awards, which proves its professional excellence and significant influence in the field of legal services in Central and Eastern Europe.
As an alumnus of the School of Polish and European Law, this internship gave me the opportunity to gain practical knowledge from leading lawyers in the Republic of Poland, expand my theoretical knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the functioning of the international legal environment.
During my internship, I worked in the field of corporate law, which was new to me, but thanks to the professional mentoring of RZM senior lawyer Viktoria Dobrynska, I was able to quickly adapt to the intense pace of work and effectively perform the tasks assigned to me.
During my internship, I improved my legal writing, legal analysis and legal research skills, worked with legal documentation, researched court practice, and familiarised myself with the legal IT systems used by my Polish colleagues. It is worth noting that I developed my multilingual professional communication skills in Ukrainian, Polish, and English, which is an important element of working in an international legal environment.
The knowledge I gained was an important step in my professional life, as it broadens my professional horizons. This internship further motivated me to continue developing my skills in international law, as we have a long and difficult road ahead of us towards European integration, and knowledge of international law will be an important tool in this process.
