Deepening cooperation and exchange of experience: WUNU participation in UAFIN.TECH 2025
Kyiv hosted Eastern Europe's largest fintech conference, UAFIN.TECH 2025, which brought together leading international financial market experts, representatives of the banking sector, business structures and investors to share their vision for the further development of Ukraine's financial ecosystem. This event is a professional platform for generating ideas that determine the strategic directions for the development of the financial industry in Ukraine and worldwide.
In 2025, the conference focused on the concept of Future of Embedded Finance, which involves integrating financial services into everyday products and services. This approach is an important component of modern business, e-commerce, and mobile applications.
West Ukrainian National University was represented by Olha Kneisler, Head of the Department of Fintech and Banking Business, and Nataliia Spasiv, Professor of the same department. Over 400 participants attended the conference offline and more than 100 joined remotely. Among the representatives were financial institutions, venture funds, banking sector entities, start-up ecosystem specialists, representatives of fintech media and national regulators.
The conference served as a professional platform for combining innovative solutions with practical approaches to the transformation of payment systems, the development of digital banking, the implementation of secure technologies, the use of AI-based products, embedded financial integrations, regulatory aspects, and global challenges in the financial market. Despite the diversity of approaches, participants came to a common conclusion about the significant potential of the Ukrainian fintech sector for further growth, scaling, and integration into the international financial space.
The participation of WUNU representatives in the UAFIN.TECH 2025 conference was made possible with the assistance of Rostyslav Diuk, Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Financial Institutions, and created an opportunity for the university to develop partnerships with stakeholders, exchange professional experience, and implement best practices in educational and scientific activities.
