Recently, Oksana Desyatnyuk, Rector of West Ukrainian National University, met with student leaders from the university campus.

During the meeting, the rector familiarised herself with the work of the recently introduced electronic turnstile access system in dormitory No. 3. This modern access system was created to improve the safety and comfort of students' living conditions. In addition, prof. Desyatnyuk visited dormitory No. 1, where a renovated recreation room was recently opened — a modern space for watching films, holding themed evenings and friendly communication among students. During the meeting, the university rector awarded active young people with certificates for their initiative and active civic position and rewarded student activists in dormitories for their teamwork, creativity, and implementation of various ideas. The young people presented the results of their activities over the semester. They organised meetings, made trench candles for defenders, visited an orphanage on St. Nicholas Day, and helped rescuers on 19 November.

Meanwhile, the young men and women outlined their plans for the near future. Soon, they will implement a number of new cultural, sports and intellectual projects. Bohdana Bihar, chair of the student council of the student campus, emphasised that all achievements are the result of cohesive teamwork and a shared desire to create a high-quality and safe living environment for young people.

The rector also presented a letter of appreciation to Zoriana Sukhostavska, dormitory supervisor of the 5th dormitory, for her initiative, conscientious work and care for the younger generation of WUNU.

"The student campus is not just a place to live, but a real community where young people's character, responsibility and leadership skills are forged. Thank you very much for your initiative, empathy, and willingness to take on responsibility. I assure you that the university administration will continue to support all your initiatives," said Oksana Desyatnyuk.
