WUNU students volunteer at All-Ukrainian Petanque Competition
The All-Ukrainian Petanque Competition among War Veterans has concluded in Ternopil. Teams from Ternopil, Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, Lutsk, and Kryvyi Rih participated in the championship.
This game has special significance for war veterans. It helps them take their minds off their experiences, enjoy the joy of live communication, and return to an active life. The sports ground becomes a place of recovery, where new friendships are formed, belief in one's own strength is reinforced, and a supportive community is built.
Compassionate students from West Ukrainian National University helped organise the event. With the support of the Office for Personal Development and Liberal Arts at WUNU, they volunteered to help run the competition.
