Member of the Supervisory Board of WUNU Fryderyk Zoll awarded the Order of Merit, III degree
The university community extends its sincere congratulations to Fryderyk Zoll, a member of the Supervisory Board of our institution and an outstanding scientist, on receiving the Order of Merit, III degree, a state award of Ukraine, conferred by the Decree of the President of Ukraine.
The Order of Merit, III degree, is a high state award for significant personal contributions to the development of intergovernmental cooperation, support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, charitable activities, and promotion of the Ukrainian state in the world. The professor's personal contribution to consolidating international support for Ukraine in the context of full-scale war, consistent advocacy of the principles of international law, and practical participation in humanitarian initiatives are of exceptional worth.
It is extremely gratifying to note that the professor's family was also awarded an honorary Polish distinction - the Jan Karski Mission Medal. This award is presented to individuals who, through their position and activities, demonstrate patriotism and uphold the rule of law, the building of civil society, and a democratic state that ensures the implementation of European values.
We are proud to have the opportunity to work with a person of such calibre, whose scientific, civic and moral stance is an example of service to the law, society and the ideals of European solidarity.
