Feedback from student Veronika Rak on her semester of study under the Erasmus+ programme at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava
Veronika Rak, a student of the KN-31 group of the Faculty of Computer Information Technologies at WUNU, shares her impressions of her semester of study at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava at the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology as part of the Erasmus+ academic mobility programme.
"During this semester, I had an incredible opportunity to study at the Slovak University of Technology in the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology as part of the Erasmus+ academic mobility programme. It was a real challenge and, at the same time, a huge opportunity for professional and personal growth. The training was practical, cutting-edge, and focused on the real skills needed in the IT field. The teachers were open, supportive of everyone, and made the training interesting and understandable. The English-language classes helped me improve my technical skills and work more confidently on international software projects.
Student life was an important part of my experience. Every week there were cultural evenings, meetings for international students, joint trips, themed events and integration activities. This made it much easier to adapt, gave me the opportunity to make friends from different countries and feel part of a large international community.
I am very grateful for the experience I have gained and sincerely advise you not to be afraid to step outside your comfort zone, because it is precisely such opportunities that encourage true self-development."
