Celebrations marking International Volunteer Day took place on 5 December at the Ternopil Regional Council. Volunteers from all corners of the region took part in the event. Among them were students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the West Ukrainian National University — Khrystyna Baumketner, Diana Humenna, Nataliia Petryshyn, Kateryna Shapoval, and student dean Vladyslav Barna. For their active community work, significant personal contribution to the development of the volunteer movement, and demonstrated patriotism, they were awarded certificates of recognition from the Ternopil Regional Council.

‘The volunteer movement has become the lifeblood of our defence, a pillar of support for the Armed Forces, and proof that true strength lies in unity. Thank you for your work, dedication, and big Ukrainian hearts,’ emphasised Volodymyr Bolieshchuk, First Deputy Chairman of the Ternopil Regional Council, addressing the volunteers.

Volunteering is one of the key values of our faculty community. Every day, our students participate in charity events, support the military, help internally displaced persons, and implement important social initiatives.

We sincerely congratulate our student volunteers on their well-deserved awards! We are proud of you!
May your strength, energy and inspiration for new good deeds never run out.
