Today, West Ukrainian National University held an hour of unity entitled ‘The Power of Faith Will Prevail,’ dedicated to the National Day of Prayer and the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The event symbolized spiritual unity, remembrance, and unshakeable faith in victory. Those present recalled the events of the morning of 24 February 2022—the moment that divided the lives of Ukrainians into ‘before’ and ‘after’—and honoured the memory of all those who died in the fight for Ukraine’s freedom and independence with a minute of silence.

Performances by artists added a special emotional touch to the event.

The poem ‘Five in the Morning...’ was recited by Dmytro Khudyk, conveying through words the pain and anxiety of the first minutes of the war. The song “Pain” was performed by Ukrainian singer Eduard Romaniuta, moving the audience with the sincerity and depth of his performance. The literary composition “Prayer. Four Years of War" was recited by Khrystyna Mashtalir, Andrii Mykhailiv, Solomia Letsan, Pavlo Soltys, and Anastasia Haleshchuk. Their words became a joint prayer for peace, for soldiers, and for Ukraine.

Father Vasyl Chamarnyk called on those present to pray together. Along with him, the university community prayed for all those who died as a result of Russia's military aggression.

The song ‘We Will Never Give Up!’ was performed by soloists from the folk song theatre ‘For You’ Iryna Sheheda, Dmytro Khudyk, Ilona Diadio and Volodymyr Diachuk.

The event was hosted by Yurii Dziula, Ivanna Karpun, and Vitalina Hutsuliak.

The words, songs, and silence were a reminder that our strength lies in unity, and our faith lies in Ukraine's victory.
