Professional development of specialists at the WUNU Student Support Centre in inclusivity and accessibility
Over the course of two weeks, employees of the WUNU Student Support Centre took part in a series of online events aimed at improving professional skills and enhancing inclusive interaction practices in the educational environment. In particular, the Centre's specialists participated in the webinar "Caring for Students and Inclusiveness. The Experience of British Universities," during which modern approaches of British universities to providing student support, creating an inclusive educational setting, and implementing effective models of student support were presented.
The Centre's employees also took part in the nationwide online training courses ‘Barrier-free: the philosophy of a society without restrictions’ and ‘Correct communication and interaction, in particular with people who have had combat experience’, which are being implemented in cooperation with the NGO Barrier-free and UNICEF. The events covered the theoretical principles of accessibility and the content of the communication campaign ‘Accessibility is when you can.’
We would like to thank the organisers for the relevant topics, their professional approach and the opportunity to participate in nationwide initiatives. The knowledge gained will contribute to the development of a barrier-free and inclusive educational space at the university.
