The monograph was reviewed by: Rector of the Netherlands Business Academy, Honorary Professor of WUNU Jan van Zwieten (the Netherlands); Dr hab, Professor at the University of Warmia and Mazury Justyna Krzywkowska (Poland); Dean of the Faculty of Psychology at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Doctor of Psychology, Professor Ivan Danyliuk.

The monograph covers a wide range of issues related to the interaction between people, society and institutions in the digital age. The publication offers an interdisciplinary view of communication as a key factor in the transparency, trust and sustainability of social systems, and provides a unique opportunity to familiarise oneself with the views of leading scholars and practitioners.

In the foreword to the monograph, Professor Oksana Desyatnyuk, Rector of West Ukrainian National University, emphasises that in the 21st century, communication has ceased to be merely a tool for exchanging information and has become a determining factor in establishing trust, building social cohesion and ensuring the stability of social systems. In the context of digitalisation, global interdependence and constant crises, communication determines the models of interaction between people, institutions and states, opening the way to dialogue.

In his introduction, Andriy Krysovatyy, Chairman of the Academic Council of WUNU, emphasises that the rapid development of digital technologies is fundamentally changing the mechanisms of social, political and economic coordination. In these conditions, communication emerges as a basic factor of transparency in social interaction, which affects the effectiveness of decision-making, the stability of institutions and the dynamics of international relations.

A separate section of the monograph is devoted to an address by Yurij Wowczuk, founder of the Vovk Foundation (USA) and Chief Research Officer at the Organisation for the Defence of the Four Freedoms of Ukraine (ODFFU). It emphasises the strategic role of STEM education for the development of the state and society, especially in times of war and global transformation. The philantropist stresses that supporting STEM initiatives in Ukraine is not only an investment in education, but also a contribution to the development of scientific and technological capacity, innovative thinking and resilience among citizens, enabling them to build their own future even in difficult circumstances.

In general, the book presents diverse, re-adapted and constructively thought-out materials from participants of the 4th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Communication as a Factor of Transparency of Social Interaction: The Era of Digitalisation," organised by the WUNU Education and Research Centre for Communications in conjunction with the S.I. Yuriy Department of Finance, the Department of Economic Cybernetics and Informatics, and the International Institute of Communications NGO as part of the Ukrainian-American STEM project. The conference co-organisers included leading universities, research centres, public organisations and international institutions from 15 countries.
