Graduation ceremony for master's degree students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at WUNU
A special event has taken place at West Ukrainian National University — a formal ceremony to award Master's diplomas to graduates of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.
This day is one of pride for every graduate, a day to be thankful to their mentors and to look forward to future professional achievements. In these challenging times for the country, education is becoming even more important, as it is the foundation for development and responsibility to society.
Uliana Koruts, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research, addressed the graduates with words of congratulations and best wishes: "Dear graduates! This day is important not only for you, but also for the entire university family. Despite all the obstacles, your desire to develop inspires faith in the future of Ukraine. A master's degree is not the finish line, but the start of your professional life. I wish you to apply your knowledge for the benefit of our country, build a successful career and remain patriots of Ukraine."
Oksana Homotiuk, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, noted in her speech that over the years of study, students had developed critical thinking skills, learned to make informed decisions, and acquired the necessary competencies to work in the modern world. Today, Ukraine needs educated, responsible and humane professionals who are capable of changing society for the better. Prof. Homotiuk thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine and wished the graduates to boldly take responsibility and remain open to innovation.
Even before the ceremony began, the festive atmosphere was palpable: teachers, students, parents and relatives of the graduates gathered in the hall to share in the joy of this important milestones in their lives. Smiles, warm embraces, fond memories of their years of study, first professional achievements and moments of friendship created a special mood that brought everyone together.
On behalf of the teaching staff, department heads Iryna Nedoshytko, Andrii Hirniak, Roman Hakh, and Volodymyr Chaika addressed the master's students. They noted that the graduates had come a long way in terms of personal growth, gaining not only knowledge but also important social capital — professional connections, the support of like-minded people, and experience in collaboration. The academics wished the young people faith in their own abilities, professional fulfilment, sincere people around them and new victories, and assured them that the university would always remain a place of support and development for its graduates.
The emotional culmination of the ceremony came when the graduates themselves took to the stage, emphasising that their diplomas were a symbol of their joint efforts with their teachers and mutual support within the student community. The young people expressed their gratitude to their mentors for their professionalism, high standards and kindness, and thanked their families and the defenders of Ukraine for the opportunity to study and make plans for the future.
Dear graduates! May the knowledge you have gained become a reliable foundation in your professional life, and may your belief in your own abilities help you overcome challenges and discover new opportunities. We wish you inspiration, wise decisions, professional growth, and the fulfilment of your boldest dreams!
