As part of the Erasmus+ international academic mobility programme, Volodymyr Kyiko, a graduate student (master's degree programme) at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting (groups FPFm-11, FFA-11), is spending a semester studying at Nord University (Bodø, Norway).

Volodymyr shared his impressions of the experience: "Participating in the academic mobility exchange programme was a big step in my professional and academic journey. Studying the economies of northern regions gives you a fresh perspective on familiar economic processes and broadens your analytical view of modern financial challenges. Nord University offers students a comprehensive approach to learning, seamlessly combining modern scientific methods, practical focus in educational programmes, and research on pressing issues in public sector finance.

I find Norway's historical and cultural background particularly interesting, as its path to independence is similar to Ukraine's in many ways. Being in an international academic environment helps me get a better understanding of how different countries in Europe, Latin America, and Asia deal with common challenges. Such exposure is extremely valuable for the development of intercultural competence and professional communication. The curriculum at Nord University is based on practical case studies presented by speakers from different countries and cultures, providing a solid foundation for the development of critical thinking and the effective application of knowledge in future professional activities.

Studying abroad opens up opportunities not only to gain high-quality knowledge, but also to gain a better insight into the nature, values and philosophy of the Arctic region, integrate into the European educational space, broaden professional horizons and establish international academic ties.

I am deeply grateful to West Ukrainian National University for the opportunity it has given me, which has provided me not only with new knowledge and professional experience, but also with valuable acquaintances and unforgettable impressions that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
