In the second semester, the B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations of WUNU, in collaboration with the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT, Canada), launched an international educational project called COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning).

The COIL project is a modern form of international academic cooperation that involves the integration of joint online modules into the academic disciplines of higher education institutions in different countries. Within the project, students work in international teams, perform joint learning tasks, exchange professional and cultural experiences, and develop intercultural communication and global interaction skills.

WUNU students are participating in the COIL project during wartime, which demands considerable responsibility, organisation, and resilience. Despite air raid sirens, power outages, and communication disruptions, project participants remain actively engaged in the learning process and maintain effective teamwork with foreign partners.

They have chosen not to stop, striving to develop and learn under any circumstances. This is proof that Ukrainian education continues to thrive and move forward with confidence. We sincerely congratulate and are proud of our students.

The participants of the COIL project from the West Ukrainian National Universityy are: Nazar Chornii (MEV-31), Sofiia Anheliuk (MENM-21), Ivanna Ishkova (MENM-21), Viktoriia Lishchuk (MENM-21), Taras Olkhovetskyi (POL-21), Kamilla Zadorozhnia (MENM-11), Vitalii Slobodian (KN-11), Mykyta Poberezhnyi (BKP-13), Yaremiia Slobodian (BKP-12), Sofiia Menko (MVSK-11), Liliia Bodnar (MVSK-11), and Andriana Morochylo (EME-11).

The project coordinators are Professor Svitlana Kominko (BCIT), Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations Nataliia Batryn (WUNU), and Director of the B. Havrylyshyn Education and Research Institute of International Relations Lyudmyla Havrylyuk-Jensen (WUNU).

We would like to express our gratitude to Svitlana Kominko and Canadian students for their professional support, openness to cooperation, and solidarity with Ukrainian colleagues. Your participation gives us strength, faith, and confidence in our shared future.
