Experience of semester study in the Netherlands
Sofiia Koverchuk, a student of the MENM-31 group at the B. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations, shares her impressions of studying at the Inholland University of Applied Sciences, Kingdom of the Netherlands.
I am studying International Management at the Department of International Economic Relations of the B. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations. Today, I would like to share my experience of studying in the Netherlands for a semester — an experience that changed me and my perception of student life.
To be honest, it was a difficult step for me — to leave my usual routine and go to another country, to dare to do something completely new. But now I know for sure: this decision was one of the best in my life. The education here is of a very high standard. As someone who wants to combine studying with working, for the first time I feel that I really have enough time for everything: classes, discovering new opportunities, working, and meeting incredible people from all over the world. This environment is inspiring, because it's exactly how I imagined modern education to be.
A special place in my heart belongs to cosy Haarlem — the city where I currently live and study.
Half of the semester has already flown by, and I didn't even realise how quickly time passed! I am surrounded by wonderful foreign colleagues with whom it is a pleasure to work, communicate and create. It is here that I realised how effective team learning can be: we develop projects, discuss ideas and feel that we are doing something real and meaningful for real companies.
I am sincerely grateful to the Department of International Economic Relations at the B. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations at WUNU for the opportunity to gain new experience studying at foreign universities. Without your support and belief in students, this path would have been much more difficult.
Studying in the Netherlands for a semester gave me not only professional knowledge, but also travel experiences, new acquaintances, emotions and impressions that will stay with me forever.
