As part of the educational platform ‘International Relations and Diplomacy: British Guest Lectures,’ a lecture-training session on ‘Right-wing Populism’ was held by British expert, principal lecturer and Subject Chair in Politics, International Relations and International Development at Portsmouth University (United Kingdom).

The event was organised by the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the B. Havrylyshyn Institute of International Relations with the support of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research, Professor Uliana Koruts, and the International Relations Office. The lecture-training was a success and aroused keen interest among students of the International Relations educational programme.

Yuliia Voityshyn, Head of the International Relations Office, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, emphasising the importance of international educational initiatives and consistent cooperation with British partners.

During the lecture, Emmanuel Godin presented his vision of the phenomenon of right-wing populism, outlined its contemporary forms and influence on international politics and diplomacy. Students showed great interest in the topic, actively asked questions and joined in the discussion of the causes and consequences of this political phenomenon. This contributed to a meaningful, professional and dynamic discussion.
