Dear colleagues, dear students and friends of the WUNU university family!
Today, we address each of you with pain that is difficult to express in words. The latest attacks by the Russian aggressor have affected the people of our city — employees and students of WUNU, whose homes have been destroyed or damaged as a result of treacherous strikes, and whose relatives and loved ones are in hospital. Some have lost their homes, others their sense of security and peace of mind, and still others their health, which has been shaken by the war.
But there is something the enemy cannot take away. It is our unity, and it is stronger than any explosion. It is our hearts, which always find a way to comfort and help others.
We are a university community that knows how to support, lend a helping hand, and save those who are lonely and afraid. That is why today we are announcing a fundraiser for our affected employees and students to help them recover, live, study, and work again without losing faith in tomorrow.
Every hryvnia is not just financial support. It is a sign that they are not left alone with their misfortune.
It is our shared breath of hope.
It is our response to evil — humanity.
It is our way of holding the line where the pressure is greatest.
We ask everyone who is able to contribute funds to the trade union organisation of WUNU employees and students, or to the faculties and institutes of WUNU.
May our warmth be no less a source of support for those affected than the hands of their loved ones. May everyone feel that the university is not only a place of education, but also a large family that does not abandon those in need.
Together we are stronger. Together we are unbreakable!
Let's support those who need our help the most today.
Glory to Ukraine!
